DIY Elderberry Syrup Kit

Everything you need to make homemade elderberry syrup. Just add water and your choice of honey or sugar.
Each kit makes approximately 16 ounces of syrup and includes a reusable jar and mesh bag for straining.

Dried elderberries, cinnamon stick, dried ginger, whole cloves, and dried orange peel.

Empty the jar into a pot and add 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then simmer uncovered until reduced by about half.
Strain through the included mesh bag and measure the liquid. Add an equal amount of honey or sugar.
If using honey, allow the liquid to cool before stirring it in. If using sugar, stir it into the warm liquid until dissolved.
Wash the original jar, pour your finished syrup back into it and write the date on the lid. Trust me, you won’t remember. Keep refrigerated or freeze some for later.
Do not consume the dried berries without cooking. Do not give honey to children under one year old.
